The topics in IELTS Speaking Exam are always about something familiar to you, such as “What you do”, “How are you? etc.
You should not speak too quickly or too slowly. It is also important to have good intonation and stress. You will not get a high score if you are too hesitant and have too many pauses when you speak, although a few pauses to collect your thoughts are fine.
Try not to speak too quickly, either. Rapid speech often indicates a lack of cohesion in what you are saying and severely affects the rhythm and flow of your speech.

Question – Do you often write letters?
Answer – Yes, sometimes I think I enjoy writing letters more than I enjoy talking to people.
Question – Who do you usually write to and what do you write about?
Answer – I write to my family, and to my friends; we tell each other about our lives and work, and also we talk about our opinions and feelings.
Question – What do you think is the most difficult kind of letter to write?
Answer – I usually have a hard time writing business or formal letters, because then I just don’t know what to say, it’s hard to formulate proper sentences.
Note: I find it very difficult to write a letter rejecting someone. It’s hard to tell them you don’t want to date (or marry or whatever) them and not hurt their feelings any more than you have to.
You have to word things carefully and make sure they get the point but be subtle.
Question – Do you prefer to write letters or emails?
Answer – I definitely prefer writing emails because I can type quite quickly; when I write letters my hand gets tired and besides, the letter takes much longer to reach the person.
Note: I personally like emailing better, because it’s easier, less effort, and faster getting there. That’s what I prefer doing when it comes to me sending letters. But I would rather receive a letter than an email, because a letter takes more time and effort, and it’s a little more personal.
Question – What are the differences between handwritten letters and emails?
Answer – Most people feel that handwritten letters are more personal, and they feel as if the writer has taken more time and thought in writing it. Emails are sometimes rather informal.
