Answer – I think it’s not a must but it’ll definitely make the children’s life more colorful. They could play the instrument in their spare time and it can become their hobby.

However, I don’t like the fact that a lot of parents are forcing their children to learn musical instruments. I think they should respect their children’s choice.

2. Have you learned to play any musical instrument?

Answer – Yes. I can play guitar, though not very well. I started learning guitar two years ago. The primary objective was to entertain my girlfriend, though she left me for another person soon after I started.

It was heart-breaking, but I didn’t stop, because I needed something to hang on to, a goal. I’m happy now and I’ll keep on playing my guitar, whoever I may play for.

3. Do you play any instrument? And what is it?

Answer – Actually, I am not a big fan of instruments. I did learn to play the piano for a couple of months when I was little, but I ended up quitting. I think this whole hobby thing requires music talent, which I definitely don’t have.

4. What might be the best age to start learning to play a musical instrument?

Answer – I’d say, as early as possible, because learning a musical instrument requires a lot of practice. When one is young, his/her fingers are often very agile. And they are quick to learn. But when they grow older, their fingers become stiffer and they probably don’t have enough time because of their hectic study or work schedule.

5. Do men and women play different kinds of musical instruments?

Answer – Well, it’s hard to say. For one thing, I haven’t paid much attention to what kinds of musical instruments people are playing. For another, from what I see and what I hear, nowadays, men and women are playing all kinds of instruments as they are interested in.

6. What kind of natural sound do you love to listen to? And explain why.

Answer – I love to listen to birds chirping, leaves rustling, rain falling onto the ground, waves lapping over the beach and streams gurgling down in the valley. They are the real sound of nature. The beauty is indescribable.

7. Do you love listening to music?

Answer – I love so many kinds of music, such as R&B, soul, new age, reggae and blues. Among all these kinds of music, I love R&B most. When R&B singers sing, they perform with all their heart and soul. And I can feel overwhelming emotions coming out from their voice.

9. Where and when do you usually listen to music?

Answer – Actually, I always take my iPod with me, so basically, I can listen to music anywhere and anytime I want. The MP3 has been such a blessing! Thanks to the inventor of the MP3, my music world is awesome!

10. Do you want to be a singer?

Answer – Well, from what I’ve known, being a singer is not easy at all. It’s not just about performing, but it’s also involved in interaction with fans and other colleagues. Based on what I’ve known about showbiz, and even the music industry in general, I think that I don’t belong to that world.

11. Do you often (like to) listen to music? Or Do you like listening to songs?

Answer – So far I haven’t met anyone who dislikes listening to music. However, when the workload is too heavy that requires me to stay highly focused, music is a huge distraction. 15. Have you ever been to a concert before? Or Have you ever been to a musical performance?

Answer – Once in a blue moon I attend a concert, since the ticket price for foreign artists’ concerts is so out of my reach that I can only stay home and watch online. It was 2014 that I finally did go to a concert on my own, obviously it was an international music concert. It was absolutely mind-blowing and unforgettable for me.

16. Do you like to listen to live music?

Answer – Unless it’s live at a coffee shop, where literally there are only you and music, then yeah I would love to. But I would change my mind if it’s a concert. The crowd is too crazy. It’s completely a mess that most of the time I end up having serious dizzy and headache.

17. When did you start listening to this type of music?

20. Have you ever learned to play a musical instrument?

Answer – I learned to play the organ when I was in kindergarten. It was quite funny because I started out as one of the performers, then my teacher told my mom that I had better play the organ instead of performing, so I became her trainee and it continued for around 4 to 5 years until I was 10.

21. Is music an important subject at school in your country?

22. Did you often listen to music when you were a child? (If yes give details.)

Answer – Since my parents are music-lovers and they also have very good tastes, I was exposed to the old kinds of music at a very young age. Sometimes my mom sang me to sleep with her lullabies. Although I can’t get the message at that time, my mom said that I buoyed up when listening to them.

23. What kinds of music are (most) popular in your country?

Answer – Beside pop music, the young generation nowadays expose to a number of different types of music. It is indeed difficult to tell which is the most in demand, since from my point of view each type has roughly the same popularity. But I guess pop music is the most sought-after now.

28. Do you like concert or listen to album?

Answer – I would rather go to a concert rather than listen a list of recorded songs. The reason behind this is that you can see the singer in real life and interact with the crowd, immerse yourselves in the dynamic music at the concert. This I think is more enjoyable than staying at home on your own.

29. Do you want to be a pop singer?

Answer – I’m quite poor at singing, so the thought of becoming a singer has never crossed my mind yet. I’d better sing at a karaoke room instead. On top of this, the life of a celebrity is quite tough, you have to sacrifice your privacy to be in the limelight.

30. Do you like to go to the concert?

Answer – I love socializing with others and going to a concert is amongst the many ways I can relish the lively atmosphere. On top of that, if one of my favorite bands is going on a concert tour, I would definitely go the extra mile to get hold of a ticket, no matter how expensive it is.

31. Would you want to be a celebrity in the future?

Answer – I don’t know actually, because obviously it would be nice to be adored everywhere you go, and have lots of VIP treatment travelling around the world.
