The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a prestigious national-level examination that assesses candidates’ comprehensive understanding in various undergraduate-level subjects in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, and Humanities. GATE 2025 is being organized by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR).

Registration Details

  • Registration Start Date: August 28, 2024
  • Regular Fee Application Deadline: September 26, 2024
  • Late Fee Deadline: October 7, 2024

Interested students can visit the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in to register for the examination. Despite the change in the registration date, the deadline remains September 26. Keep in mind that the dates are subject to change, as mentioned in the information brochure provided by IIT Roorkee.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
2. Click on the “Apply Online” option (which will be activated tomorrow).
3. Register using the necessary details.
4. Re-login with your registered credentials and complete the application form.
5. After completion, pay the fees and download the application for admission purposes.

Important Dates

  • Aptitude Test Dates: February 1st, 2nd, 15th, and 16th, 2025.
  • International Exam Centers: Not available; international students must choose an exam center in India.
  • Change of Category, Paper, and Examination City Deadline: November 6 (with an additional fee).

Examination Format

The computer-based test will include three types of questions:

1. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): Choose the correct option out of four.

2. Multiple Select Questions (MSQ): Select one or more correct options out of four.

3. Numerical Answers Type (NAT): Key in the answer using a virtual keypad.

Candidates will use an on-screen virtual calculator provided during the examination.
